Once you qualify for Loyalty Point Rewards in 2025, you can choose your reward any time between the date you qualify and March 31, 2026. This gives you the flexibility to decide when to choose your reward, based on when you want to use it.
For example, if you qualify in May 2025, you’ll have until March 31, 2026 to choose your reward. If you have more than one reward choice, you can choose one after qualifying and the other later, or both rewards later. It’s up to you.

- Reward selections are final and cannot be changed, exchanged, modified, or transferred after selection

- Accumulated Loyalty Points, including Loyalty Points chosen as a reward, reset to zero on March 1 each year.
- Once AAdvantage® Status is granted, it is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged.

- Status must be gifted by the stated redemption date for the status reward in your AAdvantage® account
- Once status has been gifted, no changes are allowed
- Group 5 boarding will automatically be applied to any eligible trip post-ticketing, starting the day this reward is earned through the AAdvantage® status membership year
- New trips as well as existing trips booked and ticketed prior to qualifying for this reward are eligible for this reward as long as the departure date of the flight is on or before the last date of the membership year
- Group 5 boarding is only available on American Airlines marketed and operated flights
- Applies to the member and up to 8 travel companions booked in the same reservation. If more than 9 passengers are booked in the same reservation, the benefit will only apply to the qualifying member
- You may already be eligible for Group 5 boarding or better if you have AAdvantage® status, are an eligible AAdvantage® credit cardmember, purchased a Main Cabin Extra seat or are traveling with another customer who has AAdvantage® status
- The Loyalty Point bonus will only count on spend with eligible partners. Eligible partners include American Airlines Vacations™, SimplyMiles®, AAdvantage eShopping®, AAdvantage Dining℠ and AAdvantage Hotels™

- Requalification for a bonus of the same amount will extend the time a member receives the same bonus by 185 days from the date it is earned
